The CK Area spans the width of the Kitsap Peninsula. Silverdale is known for hosting large national brands where most of the people in Kitsap do their shopping. It has scenic trails, award-winning restaurants, and beachfront hotels with views of Dyes Inlet, Mount Rainier, the Olympic Mountains. Easy beach access leads to tons of outdoor fun, and hundreds of shops, malls, movie theaters, bowling alley offer plenty of indoor activities, too.
Just a short drive from Silverdale, Seabeck offers visitors scenic drives and great stops, including the historic Seabeck General Store, a public pier, boat launch, and plenty of space to enjoy the beach and launch a kayak. And it's famous for its Scenic Beach State Park.
Lastly, the small, Kitsap waterfront community of Keyport includes the Port of Keyport Marina with a boat launch and the Keyport Mercantile & Diner, an old-fashioned grocery store with excellent food.
Even though the CK area is blessed in many ways, young people in this area have their fair share of challenges just like anyone else. According to CNN, children who are from wealthy families are more likely to suffer from drug and alcohol use, depression and anxiety. Further, a lot of teens from military families may experience the stress of having a parent who is deployed.

Support Central Kitsap Youth
Like every nonprofit, the bulk of our work is funded by generous individuals through donations. Some people give a single gift, and others prefer to give monthly. All proceeds go towards bringing Hope to local youth.
