Parenting Teens

Through COVID-19

What is this?

YFC is working with several professionals in our community to provide excellent training for parents on how to best support their teenagers through the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Who is this for?

These trainings are for ANY parent of a teenager or pre-teen! We believe all parents will benefits from the tools provided during these trainings. As with all of our programs, this training is open to anyone who would like to attend. All are welcome to join in the trainings.

Why are you hosting these?

YFC's mission is to help young people live successful lives - Mentally, Socially Spiritually and Physically! We know that right now our best work is to provide parents with support during this unprecedented time we are in.

With social distancing and distance learning, our kids have zero in-person interactions with their friends and other support systems.

This is a massive shock to everyone, but an ongoing study from SPU shows that young people between the ages of 14-24 will be hit especially hard with emotional trauma because of this. They indicate that loneliness and depression are higher in this age group than any other.
